Tomorrow Halloween falls on Street Church. This means tomorrow afternoon David and I will make a trip to Costco to pick up mass amounts of candy in order to bag and hand out. I am hoping usual volunteers come out despite the fact that it’s Halloween and help with childcare. I think my greatest fear is that no one will show up for childcare and I will be handed 12 crying infants. Ok, so that may not be my greatest fear, but it’s up there.
We are also gearing up for our Thanksgiving and Christmas outreaches. This year one of our churches will be giving each child a coat, hat and gloves! What’s even neater is that the hats and gloves are hand-made. What a sweet gift! Unfortunately knitting is not in my skill-set. I couldn’t knit a glove if I had a decade to do it. Maybe a mitten. Mitten’s seem much easier.
In other news, we are beginning to collect stories and photos for YWAM Houston’s year end report. It has been fun remembering all of the adoptions, rescues, team trips and general “God-moments” that happened this year. It reminds me of what an amazing support team David and I have. So thanks again, everyone, for all the prayers and support. We love you all.
